Police appeal after arson attack at Bewsey

POLICE at Warrington are appealing for information from the public after arsonists targeted a caravan in Bewsey.
The blaze was at about 4.45am on Sunday, April 16 at the rear of a tattoo studio on Folly Lane.
Police and firefighters were swiftly at the scene but the blaze was well established and had spread to a nearby van and garage.
Investigating officer DC Dean Hough said: “Thankfully nobody was injured as a result of the fire. However, the fire totally destroyed both the van and the caravan and also caused substantial damage to the garage and contents.
“Arson is a serious crime and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the person, or persons, responsible for the incident.
“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or anyone who can offer information about the incident.”
Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 188 of April 16, 2017. Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
