MP believes Government plan will mean “better deal”

WARRINGTON South MP David Mowat has welcomed the triggering of Article 50 – the procedure which enables Britain to leave the European Union.
He says he is determined to deliver on the Prime Minister’s Plan for Britain – which he believes will result in a better deal for ordinary working people in Warrington.
Prime Minister Theresa May activated Article 50 yesterday and will now lead the Government to deliver on a Plan for Britain.
The Government has launched planforbritain.gov.uk which sets out 12 negotiating objectives as Britain builds a new and equal partnership with the European Union.
Mr Mowat says the plan means there will be a fairer society – where success is based on merit, not privilege, a stronger economy, where everybody plays by the same rules and a global Britain that is outward-looking.
Commenting on developments, Mr Mowat said: “As the Conservative Government begins negotiations with our friends in Europe, we will provide as much certainty and clarity as we can at every stage.
“Conservatives have a plan to get the right deal for Britain abroad and a better deal for ordinary working people in Warrington too. Our Plan for Britain will deliver a country that is stronger, fairer, more united and more outward-looking than ever before.”
