LATCHFORD Albion kick off their 2017 campaign when they host the Parachute Regiment at Victoria Park Stadium this Friday.
The game promises to be a tough encounter and should provide a stern test for Albion ahead of the new season in the NWML premier division following promotion last season.
Last year, Albion were defeated 24-22 by the Army in a pulsating encounter and were keen to continue the link with the Armed Forces with what is hoped will become an annual fixture.
With six new signings alongside some of last year’s Under 18s who have progressed to the open age squad, Albion are hoping for a testing encounter to give a useful pointer for the rest of the season.
Hot and cold refreshment will be available with a full covered stand to enable spectators to watch the game in comfort.
