TIME is running out to enter the Mayor of Warrington’s talent search – to be in with a chance of winning £1,000.
Entries have been flooding in for Warrington’s Got Talent, but the deadline is fast approaching.
Entries must be in by midnight on Tuesday, January 10 for an opportunity to impress the Mayor and his panel of judges.
The following prizes are up for grabs:
• 1st prize: £1,000 – sponsored by Taylor Industrial Park
• 2nd prize: £600 – sponsored by The University of Chester
The competition is open to anyone of any age with absolutely any
talent – from fire eaters to acrobats, from dancers to divas, and from impressionists to animal acts.
Anyone who wants to enter should simply record a video of themselves performing and upload it to www.facebook.com/WarringtonsGotTalent
Alternatively, a link to a place where the entry can be downloaded – such as a video sharing site like Dropbox.
Anyone unable to put their talent online should drop off a USB memory stick with their video entry at the Town Hall, Sankey Street, with their contact details – name, address, phone number and email and mark it “Warrington’s Got Talent”.
Mayor Faisal Rashid is encouraging everyone with a talent – from children to senior citizens – to enter and show they’ve got what it takes to be Warrington’s champion.
The 20 lucky finalists will be invited to perform in front of the Mayor and his team of surprise judges, in The Grand Final at Parr Hall on February 24.
All money raised through the competition will go towards the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
