Choir’s Christmas concert heading for a near sell out

THIS year’s Christmas Voices Christmas Brass concert next Saturday (Dec 17) at Warrington Parr Hall and featuring Warrington Male Voice Choir and Leyland Band is heading for a near sell out.

For many years the concert has been staged on both a Friday and Saturday night. However the decision this year to go for ‘one night only’ seems to have caught the public’s imagination, with ticket sales being the highest for many years.

As well as performances from one of the country’s best male voice choirs and one of the country’s finest brass bands, the concert starting at 7.30pm, will also give the audience the chance to join in the singing of some traditional Christmas carols.

Commenting, Vice Chairman George Hill said: “With a great choir, a superb band, audience carol singing and a near full house, it’s got the makings of a fantastic night.

“However, I would urge those of our audience who generally leave it to the last minute to buy tickets or normally pay on the door, to buy them as soon as possible. For all the right reasons we are hoping there will be very few tickets available on the door but having said that, we obviously don’t want to disappoint some of our regular followers. And, of course, for those who have got tickets we are encouraging them to get in the mood and wear something bold, bright and Christmassy – especially if they want to stand out from the crowd”.

Tickets at £10. (£5 under 16) can be bought by ringing 01925 442345, visiting www.pyramidparrhall.com, or in person from the Pyramid/Parr Hall ticket office.
