Three arrested as victim left with broken jaw

THREE men have been arrested following a disturbance in Warrington town centre which left a victim with a suspected broken jaw.

Numerous police officers attended at the disturbance on Academy Way during the early hours of this morning.

Three males are now in custody after the male victim suffered a suspected broken jaw.

One male was also found to be in breach of his bail conditions by being in the town centre area in the first place.

  1. who pays for all this police presence? Does it come out of the general public community charge or do the hostelries pay a surcharge to provide extra police as football grounds have to?
