Careers fair was “the best yet”

WARRINGTON Borough Council’s Careers for Young People service is celebrating its most successful careers evening to date.
The event at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub, welcomed a record number of 660 people through the doors to speak to college representatives and employers.
More than 40 per cent of the young people who attended applied for a job, apprenticeship or course on the night.
Cllr Jean Carter, the council’s lead member for children’s services, said: “We are very pleased the event was so well attended and hope that the young people left the event full of good advice and ideas for their career and education aspirations.”
