Metcalfe returns as Yellows win at Mossley

WINGER Scott Metcalfe made a surprise return to Warrington Town, featuring in a 2-0 victory away at Mossley in a pre-season friendly.

Metcalfe, who has returned to Warrington following a change of heart after failing to settle at Ashton, appeared in the starting line-up and provided the assist for Ciaran Kilheeney’s opening goal.

Fellow striker Steven Gillespie added a second with a tap in following great work by Harries as Warrington continued their pre-season with an impressive victory.

Next up is the visit of VCD Athletic to Cantilever Park this Saturday, kick off 3pm with the season kicking off the following week with the visit of Stourbridge.
