Pupils in Warrington set to beat national average for SATs results

WARRINGTON’S schools  are expected to have achieved above the national average in the latest primary school SATs test results.

Cllr Jean Carter, executive member for children’s services, said: “After Ofsted ranked 96% of our primary schools as good or above we are pleased to see that we have been rated highly by another national measure. We’re proud of all our teachers, staff and pupils who have worked very hard to achieve these results in extremely challenging tests.”

In Warrington the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths is 60.3  compared to 53% nationally.

In Warrington the expected standard in Reading is 70.69  compared to 66% nationally.

In Warrington the expected standard in Writing (Teacher Assessment) is 79.8  compared to 74% nationally.

The expected standard in Maths for Warrington is  75.1  compared to 70% nationally.

Finally the expected standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling in Warrington is 75.4  compared to 72% nationally.
