A WOMAN was treated by paramedics after a house fire at Warrington last night.
The blaze was at a house in Sycamore Lane, Great Sankey and two fire engines from Warrington fire station were called to the scene.
Crews found the blaze had involved a boiler and was out by the time they arrived, but the house was heavily smokelogged.
A woman was suffering the effects of smoke and crews stayed with her until an ambulance arrived.
They used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property and fitted two new smoke alarms because an existing one had failed to work.
Firefighters were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
Crews from Stockton Heath and Birchwood were called to the M6 motorway southbound carraigeway, between Junctions 19 and 20, when fire broke out in the engine compartment of a coach.
The fire was out when they arrived but they cooled down the area with a hose reel jet.
