Orford Park Festival will have Rio theme!

THE annual Orford Festival returns to Orford Park next month with a Rio theme to celebrate the forthcoming Olympics which take place in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro in August.

Orford Park will be transformed into a colourful metropolis On Sunday, June 12 between 10am-4pm, full of fairground rides, sporting activities, music shows and much more.

Activities for the whole family to enjoy also include a ride along train, donkey rides, a climbing wall, birds of prey, plus food, craft and gift stalls.

There will also be the chance to meet LiveWire’s very own mascot, Jet as well as much loved characters, Iggle Piggle, Peppa Pig, Ben 10 and Warrington Wolves’ Wolfie.

The event is organised by a group of local partners including LiveWire, Culture Warrington and Warrington Wolves Foundation and is supported by the Central Neighbourhood Board.

Emma Hutchinson, managing director of LiveWire, said: “We’re really excited about this year’s Orford Park Festival and we’re really pleased to be involved for the fourth year running. The event provides a fun and action packed day for the whole family and we’d encourage families from all over Warrington to attend.”
