Health watchdog to hold annual meeting

HEALTHWATCH Warrington, the town’s independent consumer champion for health and social care, will be holding its second annual general meeting next Wednesday, October 14.
Members of the public, local services and partner organisations are encouraged to attend and reflect on their activities and achievements over the past year.
The first half of the event, from 2.30pm – 4pm, will feature an exciting community marketplace, with a focus on adult social care (care settings, care services and support services).
The community marketplace will provide local people with information, advice and guidance on support available in the area and how they can access local and national services.
In attendance on the day will be representatives from WIRED, Warrington Day Centre, Carecall, alongside many other organisations. Afternoon tea will also be provided.
The second half of the event, from 4.30pm – 6.30pm, will feature the AGM combined with a quarterly briefing, exploring the quality and safety of social care.
Healthwatch Warrington will take the opportunity to present their annual report, celebrate their accomplishments over the previous 12 months and share their vision for the future.
Guest speakers will include Julie Kirk (health and social care transformation programme manager, Warrington Borough Council), discussing transformation in health and social care and  David Osborne (managing director, Catalyst Choices CIC), discussing adult social care delivery in Warrington
Attendees will also benefit from the opportunity hear from local partners on social care commissioning, service transformations and service experiences.
