Young cyclists meet their heroes

A GROUP of youngsters from Warrington-based cycling club North Cheshire Clarion had an amazing experience in Paris on the final stage of this year’s Tour de France.
After cheering on their heroes as they raced along the Champs Élysées, the youngsters came across the Team Sky bus on a Paris side street. Dressed in their blue and yellow club kit, and with their evident love of the cycling Adam, Hannah and Gareth McClorey and Lachlan and Euan Hacker attracted the attention of the Team Sky staff.
They were allowed into the VIP area where not only did they meet Luke Rowe and Juan Antonio Flecha, but they were also ecstatic to also meet winner Chris Froome.
A spokesperson for North Cheshire Clarion said: “What an amazing experience and inspiration for these budding young cyclists.”
