ALTHOUGH holiday season is upon us, there is no let up in the advancement of the projects that are being managed by Warrington & Co says MD Steve Park.

The former Time Square site is now cleared as part of the Bridge Street Regeneration Scheme and site works there will continue throughout the summer with construction works to build the new temporary market hall starting early next year.

At the Stadium Quarter the Business Incubator will be completed this month and will open for business in October. Works are also now on site on the construction of the £10 million University Technical College Warrington facility which sits next door. And there’s lots lot more going on.

But as it’s summer and a time to get fit for business, this year for the first time Warrington & Co. and Contest Sports are launching a new Corporate Challenge for local businesses at the 7th annual English Half Marathon.

The event takes place on Sunday 20th September and is a great opportunity for staff to pit themselves against colleagues, senior staff, business rivals  and competitors whilst empowering employees to become more active and work towards a common goal.

There’s a great new course too that incorporates many of Warrington’s landmarks including the Golden Gates, Halliwell Jones Stadium and the Cultural Quarter, it promises to showcase Warrington at its best.

Incorporating the Half Marathon and 10K routes, each company that enters the Warrington & Co. Corporate Challenge will be placed into a league table, with points awarded under the following categories:
•    Top 3 finishers
•    Most money raised for charity
•    Best Fancy Dress Theme
•    Average Team Time

There will be a number of spot prizes throughout the challenge – entry into prize draws and social runs, best individual fundraiser and personal achievement awards.

Warrington & Co Corporate Challenge participants will receive a commemorative Warrington & Co. Corporate Challenge Medal and Race T-Shirt, access to pre and post-race hospitality and support from a team of experts to provide training programmes for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Employers will also receive the option to subsidise their employee’s entry fees, have their logo’s included on marketing materials and company details included in press releases and social media posts. There will also be opportunities to display banners along the route.
