A SECTION of the A574 Birchwood Way, Warrington will be closed this weekend (July 11 and 12) for carriageway surface repair works.
The section due to be closed is from the A50 Orford Road to the B5210 Woolston Grange Avenue.
Saturday will see the section from Blackbrook Avenue to Woolston Grange Avenue closed while Sunday will see the closure from Orford Road to Blackbrook Avenue.
Roads will be closed between 8am and 8pm and a diversion route will be sign posted via Woolston Grange Avenue and Manchester Road.
These sections of Birchwood Way will also have a surface dressing applied during the following week, starting on July 14 and this work is expected to take three days – subject to satisfactory weather.
This work will take place during off-peak hours, between 9.30am and 3.30pm and also after 7pm.
Birchwood Way will be open to traffic during these works and traffic control will be used with a temporary 30mph speed limit in force.
A spokesperson for Warrington Borough Council said: “We apologise for any delays caused for these essential maintenance works.”
