Now get ready for the Stockton Heath Walk

THE annual Stockton Heath Walking Day will take place on Saturday, July 11.
Starting with a service in Alexandra Park at 2pm, the walk of witness will involve members of local churches, schools and scout/brownie groups joining together in praise.
This year’s service is being led by Canon George Browne of St Monica’s RC Church, who is celebrating his 50th anniversary as a priest.
Theme for the day will be “Freedom”.
Following the service, the procession will set off from the park, accompanied by marching bands. The route passes through the centre of Stockton Heath, along Ellesmere Road and back along Walton Road.
Motorists are advised to expect delays on Saturday afternoon, with the following roads being closed from approximately 1.45pm – 4.00pm:
Alexandra Road, Carlton Street, Chapel Lane, East Avenue (part), Ellesmere Road (part), Grappenhall Road (part), Heath Street, London Road (part), Parkgate Road, Walton Road (part), Walton Heath Road (part)
And Whitefield Road (part)
