WARRINGTON Wolves’ veteran centre Ryan Atkins has returned to his home town club, fellow Betfred Super League side Wakefield Trinity with immediate effect.
Atkins, 33, joined the Wire back in 2010 from Wakefield, where he had previously spent four years between 2006 and 2009.
He made his Warrington debut in the February of 2010, earning heritage number 1089, marking his testimonial this year. He went on to make 273 appearances, crossing for 168 tries becoming the club’s fifth highest try-scorer of all time
His career has seen him pick up international honours representing England. In his time at Warrington he has lifted two Challenge Cup trophies, in 2010 and 2012, made three Grand Final appearances and was part of the League Leaders squads of 2011 and 2016.
