A WARRINGTON-based lawyer has won a prestigious award in the annual “Excellence Awards” organised by the Law Society.
Darren Hill, who works for United Utilities in Warrington, was named winner of the “Legal executive of the year” title and received his award from Law Society president Robert Heslett.
The judges said: “Our winner is a person who truly deserves recognition for his considerable achievements, his seniority, the high regard of his colleagues and clients and also the complexity of his work.
“His philosophy has always been to deal with as many claims as possible in-house and to closely manage and remain involved in those that are outsourced.
“In the words of one of his outsourced lawyers, “he is a challenging client to work for but in the best sense of the word … and he goes that extra mile on a daily basis.”

In my opinion is possibly good for United Utilities and there share holders, but in my experience, not United Utilities customers who pay the wages.
Not interested in customers problems, when the problem escalated to him. In my opinion and the experience I have had, very selective with facts.
