Body found in allotment

POLICE have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances following the discovery of a woman’s body at an allotment in Statham, Lymm.

Officers were called to the allotment last Friday afternoon at around 4pm, following reports of a sudden death.

Police have confirmed that the body of a 76-year-old woman was found and that there were no suspicious circumstances.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and the coroner is currently preparing a file.
