A THIEF posing as a delivery man has made off with more than £11,000 worth of champagne from an industrial 
unit in Warrington.
He picked up a total of 348 bottles from the unit on Hardwick Grange in Woolston valued at £11,600.
The batch consisted of 54 bottles of Moet Chandon none-vintage white, 90 bottles of Veuve Cliquot non-vintage white, 48 bottles of Moet Chandon non-vintage pink, 96 bottles of Veuve Cliquot rose, 30 bottles of Don Perion and 30 bottles of Louis Roederer.
Police are describing the thief as in his 30s, wearing a cream t-shirt with short, dark hair, of medium build, around 5ft 10in in height and speaking with a London accent.
He was driving a white Ford Transit van with a 6in red stripe along the bottom.
Anyone with any information about the incident, which took place on Friday, July 25 at around 6.50pm, or anyone who may have been offered the bottles for sale, is urged to contact PC Angela Gardener on 0845 458 0000.
