Car fire closes motorway

ALL northbound lanes of the M6 near Warrington were closed early this morning after a car burst into flames.
The severe blaze involved a small car between Junctions 21 and 21a. Two fire engines from Warrington Fire Station went to the scene and used a hose reel jet and  foam to extinguish the flames.
There were no reports of injuries.
