POPULAR author and speaker Adrian Plass – best known for his gentle satire of contemporary Christian life – is headlining a concert in Warrington celebrating the 30th anniversary of international children’s charity Global Care.
Adrian will be joined by singer-songwriters Rob Halligan and Gareth Davies-Jones for the event, described as an evening of “entertainment, music, observation, hopes and dreams”, at Barrow Hall Theatre, Great Sankey High School, Warrington, on Saturday October 12, starting at 7pm.
All funds raised will go to support Global Care’s work with vulnerable children. Global Care has been tackling inequality in impoverished communities for 30 years, and currently works in 17 countries on four continents.
A network of Global Care supporters across the North West are behind the event in Warrington, which will also feature popular author Fiona Castle, a long-standing patron of Global Care, and organisers hope the night will introduce the work of Global Care to many new friends as well. CEO John White said: “We are looking forward to a great evening of music and laughter, and hope as many people as possible will join us.”
Tickets cost £7 or £5 for concessions, and are available by calling Global Care on 02476 601800.
