Students at UTC Warrington are celebrating their GCSE achievements today, as they mark an important milestone and look ahead to exciting next steps in education, training and employment.

UTC Warrington, part of the Aldridge Education family, is a specialist STEM and cyber college with strong links to industry. Its curriculum is designed to equip young people with the academic knowledge, technical expertise and real-world skills needed for careers in sectors including engineering, science, digital technology and cyber.
This year’s Year 11 cohort has demonstrated determination, resilience and ambition throughout their studies, with students now progressing to a range of post-16 destinations including T Levels, further education and other future-focused pathways.
UTC Warrington is celebrating improvement across the board, with stronger outcomes across both academic and technical subjects.
The college is particularly pleased with the performance of its specialist subject areas, which reflect UTC Warrington’s focus on STEM, digital and technical education.

Headline results include:
Computer Science: 89.5% achieved grade 4+ and 57.9% achieved grade 5+
Engineering: 51.3% achieving the merit and distinction (highest grades)
IT: 73.7% achieved the highest grades

Her results reflect a consistently strong academic performance across a broad range of subjects and place her among UTC Warrington’s highest-achieving Year 11 students.

Martha will now continue her studies at a local sixth form college, where she will study A Levels and build on the strong academic foundation she has developed at UTC Warrington.
Martha said: “I’m really pleased with the top grades I achieved in my GCSEs. All the hard work has paid off and my results have set me up really well for the next step. I’m now looking forward to studying A Levels at a local sixth form college.”
Chris Hatherall, Principal at UTC Warrington, said: We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved. Their results reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the strength of our school community and the support of our employer partners, who play such an important role in bringing learning to life for our students.
“Results Day is about much more than the grades themselves. Our students leave Year 11 with greater confidence, practical experience and the ambition to succeed in whatever comes next. We are delighted that many will be continuing their journey with us through our T Level programmes, while others are progressing to exciting opportunities across the region. We cannot wait to see what they go on to achieve.”

Results Day comes at an exciting time for UTC Warrington as the college prepares for the start of the new academic year.
From September, UTC Warrington will operate from a purpose-designed temporary campus while work progresses on its permanent site.
Designed to provide an outstanding learning experience from day one, the campus will bring together specialist equipment, cutting-edge technology and industry-standard resources, giving students the opportunity to learn in an environment that reflects the world of work.
Through practical, employer-informed learning, students will develop the technical expertise, confidence and transferable skills valued by employers and universities.
Chris Hatherall added: “This is an incredibly exciting time to join UTC Warrington. Our new campus will give students access to the specialist facilities, technology and resources they need to learn in a way that connects directly with the industries and careers of the future.
“Alongside excellent teaching, our strong employer partnerships mean our students gain experiences and insights that go far beyond the classroom. We are looking forward to welcoming both returning and new students in September and beginning this exciting next chapter together.”
