Ingevity’s Warrington plant recently supported two local organisations, Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Shooting Stars Dance Academy, helping to advance STEM education and youth development across the community.
“At Ingevity, we are proud to support initiatives that help provide STEM learning opportunities for students,” said Michael Shukov, senior vice president and president of Advanced Polymer Technologies. “We recognise the importance of inspiring future generations and helping them see the exciting possibilities that careers in science, engineering and manufacturing can offer. Through these partnerships, we hope to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to our community.”
Ingevity donated £5,000 to Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes to help fund school visits, covering admission and transportation costs so local students can participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning experiences. In addition to the financial contribution, Warrington employees will volunteer at the centre, sharing their knowledge and experiences through educational activities and events.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ingevity. Their generous sponsorship allows us to continue our mission to engage and excite young people about STEM. The funding will support local school children to experience hands-on and curriculum-linked science and promote opportunities within the field,” said Nikki Burton-Mallott, CEO of Catalyst Science Discovery Centre.
The Warrington plant also donated £1,600 to Shooting Stars Dance Academy, a local organisation that helps build skills, confidence and teamwork through dance instruction. The funding enabled the academy to purchase specialised equipment, creating a safer
learning environment for students and enhancing instructors’ ability to support current and future participants.

We look forward to seeing the benefits continue for many years to come,” said Becky Williams, principal of Shooting Stars Dance Academy.
