NEW traffic calming measures including speed humps are planned at the ongoing large scale residential developments forming the wider Omega Development at Warrington.
Highway planners at Warrington Borough Council have deemed necessary to introduce alterations to a Bus Gate on Alfa Way and Borsodi Boulevard which incorporates a raised table and uncontrolled pedestrian crossing points.
The 24-Hour Bus Gate permits use by Buses, Taxis & Cycles and will provide essential public transport links through the estate to promote and encourage sustainable transport. Prohibitions of Left turn movements are included to further re-enforce and highlight the Bus Gate to minimise the potential for inadvertent entry or indiscriminate entry of the Bus gate and subsequent penalty as a result of ANPR cameras.
Speed humps are also proposed on Borsodi Boulevard as traffic calming measures.
