Detectives investigating a serious assault on board a train at Warrington Bank Quay railway station are releasing CCTV images in connection.
At around 11.25pm on Saturday 1 August, a man was travelling on a train from Manchester Piccadilly towards Chester.
As the service arrived into Warrington Bank Quay railway station, a woman who had been travelling on the same train struck him in the face with a sharp object. He sustained a serious injury to his eye.
The woman exited the train immediately after the attack.
Officers would like to speak to the woman pictured, as they believe she may have information which could help their investigation.
