Amy Winehouse’s original band are coming to Warrington to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the late star’s defining album, Back to Black.

Released in 2006, Back to Black became the record that transformed Amy from a rising British talent into a global icon.
It propelled her to unprecedented heights, eventually culminating in five Grammy Awards in 2008 – making her the first British woman to win that many accolades in one night.
Now due to growing demand, The Amy Winehouse Band – Amy’s original group who were with her from the very start and throughout her meteoric rise – have announced some additional dates for their major UK tour to mark the milestone.
That includes a gig at Parr Hall on Thursday, 4 March, 2027.
Led by Amy’s long‑time musical director and bass player Dale Davis, The Amy Winehouse Band features members who both toured and recorded with Amy throughout her career.

Their aim is to keep Amy’s musical legacy alive and give new generations the chance to experience these modern classics live – performed by some of the people who were right by her side.
Amy sadly died in July 2011 at her home in Camden, at the age of 27.
Dale said: “I can’t believe that it’s the 20th anniversary of Back To Black this year.
“When I congratulated Amy on the success of this incredible album, she said to me, not with any arrogance: ‘I knew what I was doing’, and at that moment, I realised that she knew exactly what she had created.
“It’s still an honour, pleasure and privilege to be performing these songs, from this timeless classic.”

The anniversary tour will see the band perform Back to Black in full plus other Amy Winehouse favourites.
The celebration continues into 2027, with more than 50 dates currently on the tour schedule.
It comes hot on the heels of the band’s big year in 2025 which saw them embark on multiple tours as well as making festival appearances across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America over recent years.
The Amy Winehouse Band will perform at Parr Hall on Thursday, 4 March, 2027. Tickets from £29.50 go on sale this Friday at 10am. Visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org/whats-on/the-amy-winehouse-band or call Box Office on 01925 442345.
