AS it prepares to celebrate its 40th year, tickets for Lymm Rugby Club’s annual adult panto, ‘Snow White and the Magnificent Seven’, are now on sale to the general public.

Traditionally, tickets sell quickly for what has become a ‘must see’ show and, to help meet demand, there will be an unprecedented 10 shows across three weekends at the end of November and start of December.

Panto impresario and show producer Simon Plumb was excited by the stir the show is causing. “I’m looking forward to another outrageous and hilarious run of performances,” he said.
“Snow White was the first Panto we performed, back in 1987. But I’m happy to report we’ve updated the script for our growing and enthusiastic audiences. It should be an absolute cracker!”

Now celebrating its 40th year, Lymm Rugby Club’s annual adult pantomime has grown from a fundraising initiative into one of the club’s best-known traditions, helping support grassroots rugby and the development of sporting facilities for future generations.
The first production, Snow White, was staged in 1987, and the show has since helped raise funds for additional pitches through the Lymm Grass Roots Sports Appeal and later for the club’s clubhouse development. Its fundraising power has continued to grow, with the 2019 production raising £40,000 and last year’s nine-show run bringing in more than £45,000 for club funds.
Alongside the money raised, the production brings together players, families and volunteers, with audiences travelling from across the country to enjoy its distinctive mix of comedy, slapstick and adult humour.
