Grappenhall lose by 94 runs after putting opponents in

GRAPPENHALL lost by 94 runs at Romiley after winning the toss and asking the home side to bat first.

Romiley responded by hitting a challenging 267-8 in overs. Jason Batson, with 3-55, was the pick of the Grappenhall bowlers but all the attack bowled well in the heat.
Opener Will Fell batted superbly when Grappers replied, hitting 94 from 124 balls, but he received little support from the rest of the line-up with four batters failing to trouble the scorer.
The innings ended on a disappointing 173.
Grappenhall 2nd won by two wickets after dismissing Urmston for 104 at Broad Lane. Ethan Marrable-Wright took 3-25 and Zach Tully 3-17.
Tully followed his bowling performance by top-scoring with 29 not out as Grappers fought hard to claim a narrow victory.
Warrington picked up a five wicket victory hosting Irby.
The visitors batted first and were bowled out for 133, Ashley Scholes taking 5-31
When Warrington replied Scholes was again in form, top-scoring with an unbeaten 29 sharing a partnership withJames Lewis, 28 not out.
Warrington 2nd won by six wickets at Winnington Park, who were all out for 98.
Warrington 3rd, 57 all out, lost by eight wickets in a low-scoring game at Irby and Warrington 4th lost by 128 runs hosting Winnington Park.
Lymm Oughtrington Park won by 159 runs at home to Old Parkonians,
Batting first, Lymm hit 182, Atwell 38 and Chattergee 36 and Parkonians were rolled-over for 23. Singh taking seven wickets and Spaven three.
Lymm 2nd won by 119 runs at Oxton after hitting 282, James Barker 66 and Syed Altai 71.
The home side were held to 163, Arik Cross taking 3-20.

Appleton had plenty to celebrate after all four of their league teams recorded victories.
The 1st XI won by 16 runs after a keenly contested match against Wirral at Lyons Lane,
Batting first, Appleton hit 152-9, Amir Aslam top-scoring with 52. The visitors were all out for 136, Aslam taking 4-47 and Mansoor Safi 3-32.
Appleton 2nd won by five runs in a low-scoring game at Ashley
Asked to bat first on a suspect wicket, Appleton were all out for 57, opener Oliver Cross carrying his bat for 20 – the only batter to reach double-figures.
Ashley were all out for 52 with Nisar Ahmed and Joseph Buckley bagging four wickets each.
Appleton 3rd won by four wickets at Bowdon Vale where the home side were all out for 148, E Pugh taking 4-26. Appleton reached their target for the loss of six wickets, J Porter 41 and M Sands 32.
Applton 4th won by 34 runs, hosting Wirral.
Terry Major, 25, top scored for Appleton, who posted 120. Then he took 3-1 as the visitors were dismissed for 86.
Glazebury lost at home to Kingsley.
Batting first they were bowled out for 91, skipper Anthony Meulman hitting 31 and Harry Barnes 24. Kingsley reached their target for the loss of two wckets.
