Second man charged in connection with series of high-value burglaries

A second man arrested in relation to a series of high-value burglaries in Cheshire, including Warrington, has now been charged.

Local man Neil Brennan was arrested on Wednesday, 25 February, at Warrington in relation to a series of high-value burglaries.
Following questioning, the 42-year-old of Folly Farm Close, Warrington, has now been charged with three counts of burglary with intent to steal.
The charges against him relate to three burglaries in Warrington and Wilmslow, which occurred between Friday, 5 December 2025, and Monday, 2 February 2026.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court later, Friday, 27 February.
Brennan is the second person to be charged in relation to the burglary series.
Gavin Phythian was charged with six counts of burglary on Thursday, 26 February, after being arrested on Tuesday 24 February following a police search, assisted by the police helicopter, in Warrington town centre.
His charges relate to burglaries in Warrington, Wilmslow, and Manchester, which occurred between Thursday, 13 November 2025, and Monday, 2 February 2026.
The 36-year-old of London Road, Sandbach, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, 26 February, where he was remanded in custody.
He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, 26 March.
