A trio of volunteers recently collaborated their musical expertise to record and release an original song titled ‘One Day’ in Aid of Warrington’s St. Rocco’s, to help raise funds for patient care.
The lyrics were originally written by songwriter Garry Bridle and with the support of flautist Mark and Harpist Cathy the trio came together to record the song professionally. They have since performed the song together at locations across Warrington, including at St. Rocco’s recent annual Light up a Life service at St. Elphin’s church.
The song’s title and lyrics share a loving message about loss, separation, and the hope of reuniting with loved ones again, something which is very close to the hearts of Mark, Gary, and Cathy who volunteer regularly at the hospice, supporting patients and loved ones at the We Care Coffee Afternoon’s and on the Inpatient Unit.
Garry commented ‘We wanted to do what we can to support St. Rocco’s and help to raise as much money as possible through the sale of ‘One Day’. I have fundraised for St. Rocco’s before, and I would really love to be able to continue to support them in providing services to the Warrington community. We are hoping to continue to promote the song more across Warrington to support St. Rocco’s.’
The song is now available to purchase digitally for £2.99 with 50% of the proceeds raised from sales going directly towards supporting St. Rocco’s Hospice https://garrybridle.bandcamp.com/track/one-day
