Ameritz Music: Where did the summer go?

Hello! Where did the summer go? To be honest, autumn and winter are my favourite months at Ameritz Music.

Christmas is, of course, the highlight, with the hundreds of presents I get (not!)
We always have our annual Christmas gathering here at Ameritz, which usually involves a ‘Christmas Quiz’ in the offices, at Wilderspool Park, and going into Stockton Heath. Then all staff get a couple of weeks off, well earned.

Before then, we have some key releases out. As I write George Gallagher is recording with the Mike Smith Band. George is a fantastic singer from Liverpool. Mike (and his band) are also amazing.
Mike plays saxophone on ‘Man with a Red Face’ on our show Cream Classical.
George’s album ‘The House of Bamboo’ will feature songs such as ‘Desperado’ originally by Eagles, ‘Through the Barricades’ originally released by Spandau Ballet in 1986. I remember it well.
George will also sing ‘Have You Ever Seen the Rain?’ by Creedance Clearwater Revival. Another stone cold classic!
We hope to release the album digitally, in October 2025 with a vinyl version released as well.

As you may know, my business Ameritz started in Liverpool near the famous Penny Lane.
Liverpool is well known for its fantastic music.
I started my musical journey surrounded by Liverpool’s finest singers and entertainers. George is part of that tradition, of quality performers and singers. He joins an illustrious list of incredible singers from Billy Fury, John Lennon and Cilla Black to the modern era Holly Johnson and Rebecca Ferguson.
Let’s hope we can add George Gallagher to that list.
Are you an artist or in a band? Want to get in touch? We’d love to hear from you. Go to www.ameritz.co.uk

Until next month, keep listening!
