WORK is ongoing to make a bungalow safe after it was struck by a Warrington Borough Council gully cleaning tanker truck yesterday, Sunday.
Remarkably, no serious injuries were reported following the incident on Collins Green Lane, Warrington, yesterday, Sunday.
The tanker truck collided with a number of parked vehicles before embedding in the bungalow causing serious damage.
A Warrington Borough Council spokesperson said today: “Building control services have been on-site this morning and we continue work to make the building safe.”
Meanwhile, Cheshire Police have issued the following statement: “At 5.07pm on Sunday, September 21, police were called to reports of a collision on Collins Green Lane, Warrington.
“Officers attended the scene and found that a tanker truck had collided with a house and a number of parked vehicles.
“There were no reports of any serious injuries, but the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
“The occupants of the house were all accounted for and were all found to be safe and well.
“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information or video footage is asked to contact Cheshire Police.”
