Care home residents enjoy special seaside performance

Residents and guests at Cheshire Grange care home in Lymm enjoyed an afternoon of smiles and joy with a live music performance taking them back in time with good old fashioned seaside fun.

Singer Sandra Currie, dressed in traditional Victorian costume entertained with familiar songs including ‘I do like to be beside the seaside’ along with music hall songs of the day. After performing in the lounge, Sandra became a wandering seaside minstrel and sang with residents who were in their rooms.
Jane, a resident at Cheshire Grange said ‘It was such a fun day, the lounge was beautifully decorated, I did like the seagulls and the costumes were hilarious’.
General Manager, Dawn Holsgrove-Smith said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful afternoon of seaside fun, our Life Enrichment Team bring joy to all our residents with a varied and inclusive programme of events, taking the music to the residents in their rooms brings so much happiness ”.
