TWO masked men burst into a Warrington convenience store, threatened a member of staff and got away with a large quantity of cigarettes.
The raid was at Burnett’s Premier Store in Higher Lane, Lymm at about 7.20pm on Thursday, February 16.
Police have today released CCTV pictures of the offenders taken as they ransacked the shop.
The two men, who both had their faces covered, threatened the 20-year-old man in the shop and forced him into the back of the shop.
One man jumped over the counter and filled two holdalls with cigarettes. They then fled on foot.
DC Tracy Earley said: “The member of staff was not injured as a result of the incident but they were left extremely shaken by their ordeal. We take any incidents of this nature seriously and it is our priority to trace those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.
“We are urging anyone who witnessed what happened or was in the area at the time and has seen anything significant to contact us immediately. We are also keen to speak to anyone who knows the identity of the offenders to get in touch.”
One man was aged 20-25 and was wearing a black anorak jacket and black trousers. The other was wearing blue jeans, a striped top, blue hat and trainers.
Anyone who can help police is asked to call police on 101 or, alternatively, the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline, 0800 555 111.
