PLANNERS at Warrington are being asked to approve a 64 per cent increase in floorspace at a Green Belt house that stands in a heavily wooded six acre site.
But Croft Parish Council has lodged an objection to the proposed scheme in Kenyon Lane, Croft.
They say the proposals constitute inappropriate development in the Green Belt – particularly due to their size.
The plan, to be considered by the borough’s planning sub-committee next Wednesday involved two-storey extensions on either side of an existing house, along with the removal of some existing garage space.
Officers say from the front, the house has the appearance of being two storeys but from the rear, because of differing ground levels, it looks like a single-storey dwelling.
It is heavily wooded on all sides and cannot be seen beyond the site.
Two adjoining outbuildings would be demolished, or partly demolished, as part of the scheme.
The plan is being recommended for approval.
