Former employees of Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service are invited to a free tea and toast morning at Lymm Fire Station on Tuesday 10 November.
Taking place from 10am to 12.30pm, the event is open to all former and retired Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service staff, whether they worked as firefighters or in support roles, and regardless of which station, department or location they worked at.
The morning offers an opportunity to catch up with former colleagues, meet current staff and firefighters, and hear about the latest developments across the Service.
Engagement and Inclusion Coordinator Helena Lunn said: “We’ve had a great response to our previous tea and toast mornings and it’s always lovely to catch up with people we haven’t seen for a while.
“The morning is open to anyone who has ever worked for the Service. We chose Lymm as the venue this time, but we move these quarterly events around different locations across Cheshire.
“It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, hear about our future plans and find out more about the support available through the Fire Fighters Charity.”
Family members, including children and grandchildren, are also welcome and anyone planning to attend is asked to email helena.lunn@cheshirefire.gov.uk to secure their place.
After enjoying tea and toast prepared by the crew, there’s an opportunity to take a guided tour of Safety Central Educational Centre, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service’s interactive safety education facility located next to the station.
