THE legendary Bogtrotters will headline the Time Square stage to complete the line-up for this year’s Warrington Music Fest.

Following the announcement of a second wave of artists, The Bogtrotters will headline the Time Square stage on Saturday, 6 June, alongside nine other bands and performers, completing the bustling and eclectic line-up for 2026.

Well-loved and long established for their arrangements of traditional Irish and Scottish music mixed with country and more modern material, the Warrington band are led by Tim Flaherty who had success in the US with the group Poacher.
Tim said: “We’ve been lucky enough to tour all over the world with both The Bogtrotters and Poacher over the years, but there’s always something special about coming back home to Warrington.
“Playing in front of your own community gives you a different kind of buzz that never goes away, no matter how many years you’ve been doing it. There’s a real pride in coming back to Warrington and seeing live music continue to thrive across generations.”
The free, open-air town centre festival will also be taking place at Golden Square’s Old Market Place – giving music lovers the chance to make a day of it.

Golden Square’s stage champions upcoming grassroots talent, while the Time Square stage aims to bring a broader range of artists and music genres to the event for a ‘real mix of generations, styles and stories’ in one place.
The Bogtrotters will be joined on Saturday, 6 June, by The Escape Committee – whose line-up also features a former member of Poacher, Pete ‘Sarge’ Frampton – Bucaria, Red Light Racers, Junior Dayvis, Charlene Semp, Evie Caine, Marti Wilde, The Lower Angel Band and Synthian with live music filling the air between midday and 8 pm.
Steve Oates, who founded the festival in 2007 with the aim of recognising and elevating homegrown talent, added: “The Time Square Stage perfectly captures what Warrington Music Festival is about – creating opportunities for emerging artists while also celebrating the musicians and heritage acts who have helped shape our local music scene over the years.
“It’s a real mix of generations, styles and stories coming together in one space.”
