THREE fire crews were called out to a heavily smoke logged house at Orford, Warrington, following an unattended cooker fire.

At 16:56 yesterday, Thursday, crews from Warrington, Birchwood and Lymm attended the property on Grasmere Avenue after being called to a house that was heavily smoke logged.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus took a hose reel jet into the house to search for anyone who may be inside and to locate any fire. It is believed the smoke was caused by unattended cooking on the hob. Nobody was in the property at the time.
Crews used a high-pressure fan to clear the smoke.
