VOLUNTEERS at Longbarn Park in Warrington have been presented with a special police “Community Hero” award after battling back from adversity.

Sergeant Barber and PCSO Potter had the pleasure of awarding the ‘Friends of Longbarn Park’ a PCSO Community Hero Award for their services in the community looking after Longbarn Park.

Over the last year, they have come by some hard times having been the victims of theft on two occasions.
With the help of the local community and funds donated by the Cheshire PCC they are back ready for the spring and raring to go.

All the work they do on the park is volunteer-based and they are currently looking for new recruits to help them. If you are interested, you can email PCSO Potter on [email protected] and he will put you in touch with their organiser.
PCSO POtter said: “Once again, a massive well done and thank you for all your hard work. The award doesn’t even touch the sides of what you deserve.”
