MORE THAN 50 neighbours are celebrating in Great Sankey after it was revealed two postcodes landed People’s Postcode Lottery wins – within a week.
Players scored at least £1,000 each after scooping the lottery’s Daily Prize in two streets in the town.
Firstly, on Stratton Road, an incredible 34 players bagged £1,000 per ticket after their postcode, WA5 1JT, was announced as a winner on Wednesday 12 February. Two players doubled their wins to £2,000 each by playing with two tickets.
And today Monday 17 February, on Barbondale Close, 21 fellow players joined in the celebrations after it was revealed WA5 3GY also landed the Daily Prize. Five people doubled their winnings with two tickets.
There was a memorable win in Warrington in November 2023 when 25 people playing with postcode WA5 3FA won a share of the £1m Millionaire Street prize, bagging at least £31,250 each. Seven of the players doubled their prize to £62,500 by playing with two tickets.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt passed on her good wishes to the recent winners. She said: “It’s been a real win-win week for Warrington! A big congratulations to all the players who’ve landed prizes in Great Sankey. I hope they enjoy spending their winnings.”
