A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries following two separate incidents in icy conditions as Chester Road, Warrington, was closed this morning.
Chester Road was closed southbound as police dealt with these two separate incidents. The road has since reopened.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 5.29am on Thursday, February 6, police were called to two separate collisions on the A56 Chester Road in Walton.
“Icy conditions caused a car, and then further down the road, a motorbike to lose control.
“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“There were no other reported injuries, and the road remained closed while it was gritted.
“The road has since reopened.”
