Specialist homecare provider Alcedo Care Group has opened a new residential home for young people in Warrington.

Known as Kestrel Home, Alcedo has invested circa £500,000 in the acquisition and set up of the home that will support young people in crisis up to the age of 18.
It is the second home in Alcedo’s growing portfolio; the company’s first home, Osprey Home, opened last year in Morecambe, another home is set to open in the near future and there are plans underway for more.
Fully staffed by trained professionals, Kestrel Home will provide a safe, stable and supportive family environment for young people in Warrington who have complex social, emotional, educational and behavioural needs or who have been adversely affected by their domestic situations.
Working closely with the local authority and children’s services, Alcedo will address the specific needs of each individual child providing exceptional holistic physical and mental health care with inclusivity, understanding and family values at the core enabling each child to flourish.

A small home with a fully committed permanent team and high staff to young person ratio, Kestrel Home can accommodate two young people at a time with placements lasting anything from a minimum of 28 days to multiple years if required.
Managing director at Alcedo Care Group, Andy Boardman, commented: “We are committed to opening four young persons residential homes every year across the North of England and North Wales.
“Providing a warm and supportive family environment for those who may be struggling due to their existing domestic situations or display challenging behaviours, the home will support overall physical health mental wellbeing and education with the aim of enriching the life of each young person and delivering a lasting positive impact.”

Rated one of the Top 20 Large Home Care Groups, multi award winning Alcedo Care Group is on track to meet its target of owning and operating 30 branches across the North of England and Wales by the end of 2025.  Alongside its geographical expansion plans, the family owned Group is also on a mission to continually expand its portfolio of quality home care services with a particular emphasis on complex care, live-in care, children’s services and young persons crisis management residential homes.  For further information, please visit www.alcedocare.co.uk
