One casualty taken to hospital after collision

ONE casualty was taken to hospital following a road traffic collision involving three vehicles at Old Hall, Warrington, on Friday afternoon.

At 15:04 fire crews from Warrington and Penketh attended reports of a road traffic collision on Shackleton Close.
The collision was at the roundabout junction with Cromwell Avenue, near to Gulliver’s World theme park and one car was overturned.

Firefighters made the vehicles safe and provided initial care to one patient who was passed to the care of paramedics and later taken to hospital.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 3pm on Friday, January 24, police were called to reports of a collision on Shackleton Close, Warrington.
“Officers attended and found there had been a collision between three cars, one of which had overturned.
“Paramedics attended the scene the driver of one of the cars was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
