Cadent, which manages the North West’s gas network and its gas emergency service, is joining the support ‘hub’ for people impacted by the floods in Warrington, from today (9 Jan).
The energy company has sourced emergency items, including heated blankets and thermal socks, and can make arrangements for fuel vouchers to be issued.
If the skill sets of Cadent’s engineers can be used in any capacity, these are also being made available, through its ‘Services Beyond the Meter‘ team.
Cadent already works closely with Warrington Borough Council through its ‘Centre for Warmth’ programme, which advises people on energy efficiency and income maximisation, as well as supporting projects to tackle issues such as loneliness and isolation.
Paula Steer, Director of Cadent’s North West Network, said: “We are part of the community here in Warrington and want to do whatever we can to support. Please visit the team at the ‘hub’ at 41 Southworth Avenue, Warrington, if you have been impacted by the floods and think we can help.”
