A Range Rover was seized and towed away following a police clampdown on school parking issues at Great Sankey, Warrington.
Local officers attended at Great Sankey Primary School due to issues raised regarding parking on the nearby side roads.
It didn’t take long to come across the first issue of a driver fully obstructing Haig Ave and checks on the vehicle revealed there was no valid insurance for the vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and the driver reported for having no insurance.
A Warrington Police spokesperson said: “We are still receiving complaints about poor parking outside schools during pick up/drop off times.
“Pick-up and drop-off times are busy outside schools, this causes an increased safety risk to both parents, children and other road users.
“Parking restrictions outside schools are in place to keep everyone safe, parking inconsiderately can put people in danger and also risk you being issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice.
“Never stop on yellow zig-zags or other markings, it will be busier than normal so leave extra time for your journey or consider walking to/from school.
“Please be considerate of local residents and do not block driveways or access roads.
