A flat near Warrington town centre was evacuated last night as firefighters were called out to reports of a fire in the premises.
All persons were accounted for as two fire crews from Warrington and Penketh attended at the premises on Church Street shortly before midnight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire in the ground floor flat. A full evacuation of the building had taken place before fire crews arrived. A high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke.
Earlier in the evening one crew was called out to reports of a bin fire on Cabul Close, Orford.
At 17:29 One fire engine from Warrington attended at the scene and firefighters extinguished the bin fire using a hose reel jet.

With the number of flats and HMO s being built in Warrington it won’t be long until there is a fatal fire.
And more work for our fire brigade !

So true there should be no more flats built in town now there is way to many and like you said the more there is of flats and HMO tge more fire will happen
