Up to five weeks of highway restrictions confirmed at Appleton for footpath works

UP to five weeks of highway restrictions have been confirmed at Appleton from next Monday (May 6) for footpath surfacing works.

The work will be taking place for the full length of Beechways and Pineways at Appleton, starting on May 6 from 8.30 am to 5:30 pm when signed on site.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Beechways for its entire length and pineways for its entire length.
The Order will be effective from 6th May 2024 for 5 weeks, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be: Beechways via fairways, London Road, Dudlow Green Road and vice versa; Pineways via Beechways, Dudlow Green Road and vice versa. The restrictions are required for footway surfacing.
