THE flag of St George is proudly flying over Warrington Town Hall today, to mark St George’s Day – but what else is happening in Warrington to mark the day?
Helping Hands Changing Lives CIC has organised a special event at St Benedict’s Club.
Starting at 2 pm until 6 pm the “sold out” event will provide food, drink and entertainment for 110 pensioners and friends including a goody bag – all for just £3 per head.
Meanwhile, The Blue Bell on Horsemarket Street had a full party weekend with drinks offers and live music and today will be offering 20% off food from 12 pm and “unreal” drinks offers.
Are you celebrating the occasion – if so send us the details and pictures to [email protected] and we will add it to our coverage.
In previous years there has been a parade from St Elphin’s Church, organised by local scouts but this ended due to the cost of road closures.
Local resident Nigel Catlow entered into the spirit of the occasion bedecking his home at Whittle Hall with the flag of St George.
