Police seek information after two pedestrians injured in collision at Latchford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and video footage after two pedestrians were injured following a collision in Latchford.

At around 7.12 pm on Tuesday 16 April, officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision in Latchford.

Officers attended the scene on Knutsford Road, Latchford, and found there had been a collision between two pedestrians and a grey Mitsubishi Eclipse.

One of the pedestrians, a 62-year-old local woman, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Aintree Hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-changing or threatening and she has since been discharged.
The other pedestrian, a 34-year-old local woman, was also injured, she was taken to Warrington Hospital, where she remains at this time.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 47-year-old woman from Stockton Heath, was not injured during the incident.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have dashcam footage or witnessed the collision to get in touch.

Police Constable Gary Evans, of the force’s Roads and Crime Unit, said: “As part of our investigation, we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened during the incident.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam or CCTV footage which may aid our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information or dashcam footage in relation to the incident is asked to report it to Cheshire Constabulary via www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML-1801996 or call 101.
